JH, a closed system (like any "system" in science) is an idealization, correction to an idealized situation can usually be figured out, if needed. the classic "closed system" of thermodynamics is an "engine", with heater and cooler included in the system. >>I will peruse your anti-soros strategy>> i'm not anti-soros,-g-, i just don't like the name "analog model", meaning an analogy. shorting has to be done with utmost care in these market conditions, buying puts is safer. otherwise i'm bearish on gold stocks for the intermediade time-scale, like pdg. other potential candidates are under discussion on the burke thread.
