Yep! That makes a lot of sense!
Oh yes, now I get it:

According to former Secretary of the Treasury, Paul O'Neil,
Bush from Day 1 asked his cabinet to find an excuse --- any excuse --- to attack Iraq.

O'Neil said Bush was already obsessed with wanting to attack Saddam even before he became president. I am sure he got a lot of oil money contributions from his oil buddies for his election campaign and everything possible was set to ensure he would win.

No wonder BUsh dismantled Clinton's plans for attack against Al-Qaeda.

As I see it, 9/11 delayed Bush's plans temporarily. But it also gave him a chance to foist a big lie on the American people, namely that there was a link between Afghanistan and Iraq!

And so when the action in Afghanistan quieted down (perhaps it was engineered to be down maybe with the help of bribery & etc)), he reassigned forces to fight in Iraq!

But that turned out to be a blunder! because the Taliban has now come back in force.

For Bush and his Neocons, going from Afghanistan into Iraq is like falling from the frying pan into the fire!
