Jim. True Blew, as they say truly blew it. It is hard to hammer this into some proprietary mindsets. The article on Wired says it all. Apple was lead by morons and buffons for many ayear. The golden chance to run with the ball was fumbled early on, and those after just went after big paychecks.
Jobs was a proprietary person, and so he may not be the one to lead Apple.

I hope they actually sell tested populated motherboards with no memory and let the market run. Apple will make both motherboard and OS profits. Keeping the memory off will remove from Apple the temptation to kill it by memory overcharge(as many in Apple know how to do, they built and industry at Apple expense making third party memory with the extortionate memory prices)

Oh well I will not run on, let it unfold and the make somments to modify it.
