Dear Sid,

I'm not very knowledgable in this kind of thing, and I don't have much time to respond, but this is what the deal means to me. A development co. like Ballard requires a huge influx of cash. You yourself set that over the next 10 years or so that the shares would be diluted by at least as much as the deal with Daimler makes them anyway because of capital requirements and issuance of new shares. In addition, after development is finished, the technology for mass production in order to bring costs down, as well as factories, etc. would have to be achieved, costing Ballard big $$$'s anyway. This is brought into the deal by Daimler, decreasing Ballard's headache in the long run. Daimler also has enormous credibility, which will increase the interest in the technology and might start the other car companies to wane for the technology themselves. Daimler also values the co. at much more hefty prices than you do, so if they are getting more capital through issuing fewer shares than they would through the market, this is good for current shareholders. In addition, Daimler will have to front 2/3 of future capital requirements. I believe that this is all good for the company and shareholders and I look forward to holding this one for the next 10-20 years.

Good luck everyone,
Jamie
