I wish there was such a program in every high school. Rather than trying to teach sexual abstinence, what we really really want children to do (or what I really really want children to do) is not get pregnant. I think it is probably easier to teach that (since the media isn't working against you in that cause) than it is to try to get young adults to abstain from sex (where the media is totally against you, in just about every TV show and movie). I am a practical person. I think you put the money in the area where you can get the most payback. I think it is very likely we could dramatically reduce the pregnancy rate of young women by busting up their fantasies about motherhood.
