Here's an interesting stat: Facebook has around 250B photos on its platform, and users are uploading about 350M photos a day (or a run-rate of 128B per year). So the total number of photos in Facebook is increasing at approximately 50% a year currently.

It's interesting to think about what sort of data could be mined from those photos.
