Jurgis,

You just have different taste in Bond than I do. Nothing wrong with Moore or Brosnan and in their defense the character was reworked to be more excessive with every movie. The great thing about the books was the fact that Bond was just a man, but maybe the best man. There were few superhuman feats in the books, while the movies (post 1970) needed to compete with modern action films to sell tickets.

You should check out Dr. No and Goldfinger again, and make sure you get the uncut versions. The writing was fantastic and Connery was perfect. Hundreds of explosions and jumps from airplanes and fights on space stations will never top this single line from Connery, "That is a Smith and Wesson and you've had your six". That essence is exactly what Craig tried to recapture in the new film, and I think he did an outstanding job.

Take Care
