that's not what I said -- what I mean is -- your ulcer is probably more sensitive to alcohol because you have caffeine. It's better to not have either caffeine or alcohol if you have an ulcer or are predisposed to ulcers -- not to mention aspirin. If you didn't drink caffeine a glass of wine probably wouldn't give you the symptoms you mention -- but I'm not advocating one or the other ...
