Thanks for the heads up on that. I hope C-Span runs it again and again. Hard to believe Kerry was smarmier then than he is now. O'Neill won just about every debating point and carried himself in a classier manner. Kerry looked like quite the mod. Remember mods? <g> Hats off to Dick Cavett too, he was the perfect moderator. He didn't interject himself at all, he just sat there and let the two have at it. I used to like that guy, his show was always pretty good, if a little quirky... I thought it was interesting that O'Neill brought up the fact that Kerry had declined to debate O'Neill on some of the more 'serious' talk shows. He listed at least 5 or 6 shows that Kerry had declined to appear with him on. Too bad this is the only tape we have of them from that era.
