Donald Trump--the Media Onslaught against Him Will be Epic

The New York Times hasn’t been friendly to Donald Trump; it seems two days out of every three it has had a negative story about him leading the print edition. But I was still taken aback by the headline on the “new analysis” that leads the print edition today about his Birther press conference Friday: “Trump Gives Up a Lie But Refuses to Repent.” It’s not that this is an inaccurate description of what he did yesterday, but it is an incredibly hostile formulation in a way that we have never seen and never will with Hillary. Liberals want the press to shed any remaining patina of objectivity covering this race, and if Trump keeps it closes or takes the lead, the media will happily oblige as part of an epic freak-out on the center-left.
