What if France and Russia and China decided to attack Israel because they do not agree with the US and UK supporting Israel all the time?

Chinu.. I think you need to step back and really think about the stuff your posting. It's pregnant with desperate and dysfunctional logic.

If Israel were under the mandate of a Chapter VII UNSC resolution, I would have no problem with other countries enforcing that mandate in the face of even 1/4 of the intransigent attitude displayed by Saddam's regime.

But it's not. I don't believe there has EVER been a Chapter VII binding resolution applied against Israel.

So NO, until Israel was under such a mandate, I would not permit France, Russia, or China to attack Israel.

Chinu.. if you're going to debate me on my thread, I'm demanding more from you than mere whining rhetoric and illogic.

Hawk, at least I credit you for not saying that the war in Iraq was an extension of the Afghan war which we all agree was a true war on terror.

Not particularly an extension of the battle against Al-Qaeda, but certainly part of the overall strategic plan to combat terrorism.

Prior to 9/11, the US sat in a self-delusional fantasyland where we believed that any attacks against us would likely be conducted against our interests overseas (Embassies, Ships.. etc).. But 9/11 changed the entire analytical "filter" for determing what was a plausible risk.

Iraq is an experiment in trying to create a cultural shift in the middle east. Read Bush's speeches Chinu.. He's acknowledged that 90 years of neglecting freedom in favor of stability has created the current situation.

Your problem is that you completely underestimate the threat we're facing.

But people such as myself have no desire to live our lives condemned to live in fear, reacting to threats AFTER they have manifested themselves against us.
