...Heard this AM that if Corzine does run, and win, then HE could appoint his U S Senate replacement.....Is this true??? Yes. NJ takes double dipping to a fine art. If Codey, the current state Senate President, becomes acting Governor in Nov, he will have the powers of both Governor AND Senate President. Lovely, huh? (BTW, I wonder where my other fellow New Jerseyans, Mike and JohnM, are on this?? They've both been gone for quite a while).
