Burt is right, about the spread and the lawsuit. Also an attorney, I have done well buying after ridiculous over-reactions to lawsuits. This is a perfect instance. Wall Street is all about perceptions, not realities. Brokers follow the crowd, their job being sales and not business or law. After getting their clientele all worked up about rsys, nobody bothered to actually put in the few moments necessary to think about the impact of the lawsuit or SEC investigation. People simply picked their sides and then blindly fought any suggestion to the contrary.

But the Specialists, they knew better. The spread is an outrage, and they are just sitting about and loving it. For the same reasons that rsys tanked, something (probably nothing that is not discernable now) will happen to make the herd turn again. Then all will be forgotten and the Specialists will turn their attention elsewhere. And the funny thing is, there is nothing about Rsys that will have changed.
