These are not the hallmarks of a successful society. Not by yours. Maybe by theirs. Maybe to them, living in economic squalor but with a strong family unit surrounding you and a clear belief in God represents success more than owning a powerful car and having material wealth but being isolated from family, dumping your elderly in nursing homes instead of caring for them with love in the home, modest though it may be, and having decadent music celebrated as art. I wouldn't like that kind of society. But I'm not willing to say they don't.
