The local government has supported the project. Recently, Hisense became an authorized production factory by signing a contract with Qualcomm on research and development of CDMA knowledge and property rights. Hisense will develop digital mobile phones based on 3G 1X multiple carrier-wave technologies. Hou-jian Zhou, general manager of Hisense Group Corp., said as the wireless telecom market is growing at such a pace, Hisense is always focusing on telecommunication technologies, especially the development trend of CDMA, and has established good relationships with many leading suppliers in the world. At the same time, Hisense has invested $10 million on establishing the R&D and test center that mainly focuses on 3G telecommunication technology.
