This is unfortunate:

Since 1979, MSonly has been a consistent source for updated information and explanations on multiple sclerosis for medical professionals and patients.

This newsletter will be the last one sent from MSonly. The monthly July 2003 compilation of abstracts will be the last one uploaded at msonly.org. On November 1, 2003, the MSonly web-site will end. Quite simply, the expense of keeping MSonly on-line has exceeded our allocation of funds. Since the passing of a private MSonly benefactor in 1994, we have tried to keep going.

Not even addressing the hundreds of hours we have donated every month to MSonly in research and compilation time, we have covered the expenses from the Web Host to the software to hardware upgrades as needed to keep MSonly going.

We hope that the many issues, which we highlighted, have assisted you over the years. At the current time, MS research is focusing more and more on the technical aspects and a re-examination of the etiology with a focus on the end stage sclera and the constituency of the individual cells and cytokines responsible for its generation. It is too early to say whether this research will lead to practical therapeutic applications. It is certainly acknowledged that targeting the end stage developmental aids will prove a refreshing perspective for the treatments of MS. We have never felt that the therapies developed for early stages of MS have proven to be as valuable as their price. Perhaps it is for some. We hope so.

Sincerely,
Richard J. Korejwo
