German ‘news source’ RTL omits mention of fact that driver charged with negligent homicide is Syrian migrant

In Medforth’s translation of the RTL article below, there is this: “Accordingly, the investigations into negligent homicide in road traffic against the 31-year-old Syrian have been expanded.” Medforth’s translation was posted on August 23. On August 24, I accessed the same RTL article and read this: “Dementsprechend sind die Ermittlungen zur fahrlässigen Tötung im Straßenverkehr gegen den 31-Jährigen erweitert worden.” Thus my own translation reads: “Accordingly, there are investigations of negligent homicide in traffic against the 31-year-old.”
The police report, also translated below, is quite clear that everyone involved in this incident was Syrian: the victim as well as the perpetrators. Why did RTL remove this detail, which was apparently in its first account of the crime, the one Medforth accessed? Or if Medforth added it for clarity, working from the police report, why did RTL omit it altogether? Could it be because it is an ongoing endeavor of the German political and media elites to make sure that no one thinks ill of the Muslim migrants who have been brought into the country in massive numbers?

“Child dies after traffic accident – call for witnesses, among other messages,” translated from “Kind nach Verkehrsunfall gestorben – Zeugenaufruf, u.a. Meldungen,” Polizei Sachsen, August 23, 2020 (thanks to Medforth):
Last night a six-year-old boy was killed in a traffic accident on Budapest Street.
According to previous investigations, the driver (31) of a Mercedes and the driver of a BMW (23) were heading towards the city center. At the crossing on Schweizer Straße, three children wanted to cross the street. A six-year-old boy was hit by the Mercedes. The Syrian child was taken care of by rescue workers and immediately taken to a hospital. However, the boy died there a little later.
The traffic accident service of the Dresden police are investigating the 31-year-old Syrian Mercedes driver for negligent homicide and dangerous interference in road traffic. In addition, there are witness references that indicate an illegal car race. Against this background, an investigation has been initiated against the 31-year-old and the 23-year-old Syrian BMW driver because of a prohibited motor vehicle race. The driver’s licenses of the two men were seized….
“Eyewitness: The lethal speeders prevented me from providing first aid,” translated from “Augenzeugin: Die Totraser hielten mich davon ab, Erste Hilfe zu leisten,” RTL.de, August 24, 2020 (thanks to Medforth):
A six-year-old boy was killed in a suspected car race in Dresden on Saturday evening. Christin R. was the first who rushed to the aid of the injured child. When she wanted to provide first aid, one of the drivers involved in the accident attacked her aggressively – you can see what the woman says about the bad experience in the video.
Christin R. was at dinner when she heard a loud skid and a crash outside the door. She went to the window and saw two cars and an injured man: “There was a little boy lying there,” said the witness. She ran out into the street barefoot. “Then I first checked whether the boy had a pulse,” she said. But there was nothing.
Then the “boys” got out of the cars “and yelled at me not to touch the child.” She and a man who had rushed to help wanted to revive the boy and put him on his side. “We weren’t allowed to do that because they yelled at us and attacked us very aggressively,” she recalls. Her son then got a towel to at least cover the child.
The accident victim’s mother is said to be pregnant in the hospital
More and more people streamed to the scene of the accident after the crash, says Christin R. 40 to 50 people stood around. The boy’s sister came later — she heard about it from other witnesses. Her mother is in the hospital and is expecting a baby. Christin R. then went back into the house, “to calm the children down, they saw it, too”.
Shortly before 9 p.m., a Mercedes driver (31) crashed into the little boy with his car – he was thrown into a bus stop by the force of the impact. The child was seriously injured in the accident and was taken to hospital. He died there a little later. He and two other children ran down a busy street that evening. They were unharmed.
In the RTL interview, Marko Laske, spokesman for the Dresden police, said: “It has turned out, according to witnesses, that there is at least a suspicion that an illegal car race has also taken place here. Accordingly, there are investigations of negligent homicide in traffic against the 31-year-old.” A 23-year-old BMW driver who was involved in the accident is also being investigated. A lawyer explains in an RTL interview why a murder conviction could also be pending. |
