Probably this policy is designed to stimulate the local auto industry purchases.The vehicles in Japan also have few miles since it is a small congested country. The people are known to take good care of their consumer goods as well. I am told that this is the best place to pick up deals, and particularly at this time. The right hand drive that you mentioned is perfect for Britain and I have a good friend studying law at Oxford University who is willing and able to sell goods in London.
