DENVER-Dec 3, 1997-MSFDC, the joint venture of Microsoft and First Data Corp., announced today that Wells Fargo and KeyBank are the first banks to announce plans to pilot MSFDC's electronic bill presentment and payment service. KeyBank also plans to join the MSFDC Advisory Board.......

231 Days Later....

Wells Fargo has become the first bank to present consumer bills on its web site in a new pilot that paves the way for all Wells Fargo retail customers to receive and pay their bills electronically next year.

The six-month pilot, which began last week with a group of employees, will enable participants to receive their Wells Fargo credit card bills online the day after each billing cycle concludes -- days before they would receive comparable paper-based bills in the mail.

.................................................

I don't know what the big hang-up is for CheckFrees' billers to keep it a secret that they are going on line bill pay? Everybody else seems to give at least ONE and ONE HALF YEARS ADVANCE NOTICE.

And does anybody know why they would refer to the pilot as a new Pilot? I'm just wondering was there an old Pilot?
