I don't want to give too many specifics, but let's just say that moving here to the Bay Area, a place that is more expensive yet isn't as nice as Orange County, has a huge part in my taking control of my future.

You think the OC is more attractive than N. CA??? All I can say is wow!

And yes, it is indeed more expensive here, which kind of goes against what I just said, but the key is career opportunities. They're just more abundant here, even in the slow times.

And you don't think my friend has similar considerations? Open up your mind.......the possibilities are limitless.

And btw I find it interesting how you expect my friend to sacrifice whatever pleasures he currently has in life so he can go on teaching and not go back to his six figure job in the private sector.

Yeah, WTF was I thinking, expecting people who move to a lower-paying job to sacrifice a "six-figure" standard of living, LOL ...

Where did I say he had a six figure lifestyle? On the contrary, his lifestyle was never frivolous. Why are you so mean spirited and want so badly to think the worst? What would Jesus say?
