Pay raise agreed to for fed employees

WASHINGTON, Sept. 10 (UPI) - Federal employees will receive pay raises of 4.8 percent following an agreement between House and Senate conference committee members. The Washington Post is reporting (Thursday) that the compromise is part of an overall bill that would double the salary of the president and also give cost-of-living increases to members of Congress.
