Actually, I was born in Tiberias, Israel.... on the sea of Galellei. My mother handles alcohol all too well. I think in my case, I have such a low tolerance for it because I almost never drink. This is not due to some religious conviction, nor due to my being a recovering alcoholic, as some folks assume, but rather to the fact that while I will eat nearly anything that finds it's way to my plate, I just cannot abide the taste of booze. I don't know why that is, but it is.... which is also fine by me :)
