djane: I was surprised that the article had no reference to margins. Margins in Networking which were over 35% 18 mths ago have now collapsed to under 12% for the Industry as whole.

The P.C wars are familiar. Similar competition is now making the rounds of the Networkers. Fortunately for them, they have an expanding market. Because of that, many can only hope to maintain revenue growth but little or no earnings growth. Wall street is currently understanding and allows them a high P/E . Those high P/E's cannot be sustained indefinitely.Eventually the rug will be pulled.

I hope that the new COO will outline his plan of action to meet the challenge.
