I have to run. What to do? In a nutshell, form your own institutions, bypassing all others that do not conform to your worldview. I know of groups that for relative pennies provide their members quality healthcare. Another group provides homeschoolers excellent legal defense against government assault for a mere $100 a year. Homeschoolers themselves have completely bypassed the failed school system to provide better education for their children. The possibilities are numerous and if groups, especially church denominations, should decide to use their legal positions and resources to supplant government welfare, public schools and whatnot, then as far as such groups are concerned the government will be irrelevant.

If such groups begin institutions that will concentrate expressly upon pushing for limited government, then over time these groups will find themselves in position to keep government at bay.

The solution is not a political one, at least not approachable via the current political parties. If Americans want to be free of government, they need simply to be willing to pay for freedom.
