US deaths in Iraq trending higher.

icasualties.org

There is total chaos in Baghdad. Coalition i.e. mostly US, troops have no control of the capital. If the US soldiers stay in their barracks, Iraqis get killed in the civil war. If the soldiers venture out, they get killed as well.

Not knowing who or what the enemy is, the troops lash out, killing innocent Iraqis. And that further fans the anti-American feeling among the victims' families, adding more fuel to the insurgency.

The best we can hope for is that the situation remains as bad as it is and doesn't get worse. In fact, isn't that what our intelligence agencies have been saying over at least a year now?

What a stinkin' mess Dumbya has gotten us into.
