"When folks are getting data on cellphones, why buy multi-million dollar networks? It seems there isn't a company in the US worth investing in right now." There is network behind these cellphones unless satelites take over the internet, even then equipment will be needed to beam up data to these satelites and get back. You are right its not a good time to invest better sit on the sidelines and wait for couple of years.
