"That's true of any administration, war or not, due to items that are not on the budget."

Most administrations don't run a war, much less two, off budget. In fact, most responsible administrations either raise taxes or add a tax to help pay for it or them.

No one cuts taxes to "pay" for a war.

Except for someone truly irresponsible.

"But as you are fond of saying, "There go the goalposts". "

Except that I didn't. When the wars were put back on the budget, the deficit went up. A huge surprise to you, I know.

"The reality is the cost of the war is insignificant when you consider Obama spent more than the cost of both wars, in their lifetimes, within months of taking office."

Nonsense. A huge chunk of what Obama spent was because of the wars and the interest on all of the money that was borrowed to fight them.

"The war expenditures undoubtedly have had more of a stimulus effect than the stimulus EVER will."

If that was true, why was a stimulus needed at all?

Besides, spending on high margin stuff, like war materials, has a poor stimulative effect. Unless you happen to own companies in those industries. But, I see your point. They did donate a lot of money to Republicans. And that is all that matters to you, isn't it?
