HI Kvkkc1, I wish someone had done a study on how investors who were properly diversified had done versus daytraders in the last 3 years. I would bet my entire net worth that investors did considerably better. Anyway, I tend to doubt that article a little too. I still have the nagging feeling that that there are larger problems with this economy that are just being concealed well. But since I have no way to guess whether those problems will blow up now or whether it will be 20 years from now. I have only one choice...and that's to continue with my disciplined savings and investment plan that I've been working on for 20 years. If I'm right, then I will have a chance to retire in 10 years according to plan. If I'm wrong, I'll be saying I'm going to retire in 10 years, every year for the next 10 years. :) There has to be a better way to protect your wealth than money market funds. I'm going to continue to choose asset allocation and dollar cost averaging over speculation.
