I noticed in the latest NR that Messina is expected to be in production early 2003. This seems to be a long time, considering that the shaft only need be sunk another 50 meters and the head frame and hoisting equipment has been refurbished. New and used milling equipment shouldn't take that long to procur and install once test mining and milling has been completed in the 4th quarter? Perhaps SUF is being cautious on the timing?
Nice to see that consideration is being given to doubling production by developing the adjacent reserves, after Messina is up and running smoothly. A growth profile is important these days. Maybe the market will someday value this as highly per share as Stillwater?
