To whomever:
I received this private message. Does anyone on this thread have any input or insight??

The German Telecom put out an RFP for their call centers about 6 months ago. Aspect (not represented through Siemens) and Lucent both have been pushing to win.
The project covers atleast 75 sites. I heard that the German Telecom decided to split the project between both (two vendor politics) and that each company will receive 50/50. I also heard that a letter of intent was issued to both companies. Now if a call center were to average at $400'000,-- and Aspect wins half of 75 that would mean an extra $15 Mio for each company. The roll-out will take about a year to accomplish.
That's not petty cash for a company with only 2000 employees.
Aspect is still going strong. Do you agree?
P.S. I haven't read an official statement from either Lucent nor Aspect yet.
