Banc of America Securities expects tough September quarter in data networking sector in note 9/30/02 Analyst Christopher Crespi says that except for UTStarcom, the September earnings of all data networking and wireline equipment firms he covers are suspect. During the telecom industry downturn, a healthy balance sheet is more vital than ever, he says. Crespi's "comfort list" includes Adtran, Advanced Fibre Communications, Ciena, Cisco Systems, Corvis, JDS Uniphase, Juniper Networks and UTStarcom.
