HI Paul, Austin is located on what is Called Edwards Plateau.

Texans Call it "The Hill Country".

From Austin to San Antonio is a very dry , hot and very sought after retirement country.

My closest running buddy's son is selling real estate in Suburbs of San Antonio, He just passed 10 million in sales this year - hard working good kid.

San Antonio has a heavy Hispanic influence, Whites and African Americans are a minority.

Austin is much more White Anglo Saxon, liberal and difficult in zoning expenses.

When working for Chevrolet, everytime I transferred someone to Austin they never wanted to be relocated.

IT IS VERY NICE !! but Expensive to build - huge zoning details.

Amat, Samsung, Dell and now AAPL !

I suspect it is just the beginning of a new inexpensive Silicon Valley as they gain their senses and get the heck out of Taxifornia!

FYI

Bob
