Kenneth do they break down the wounds by category of seriousness? Are Kerry type wounds counted in that number, and what percentage do they represent?

My father was wounded in a war. He lost a leg. I might picture wounds differently than others. 7000 serious wounds of that manner are entirely different than Kerry's. I am not making light of his wounds, but stating that I would like to know more, since the headline says little.
