Comverse Technology Inc. to Join Nasdaq-100 Index Beginning on January 13, 1999

WASHINGTON, Jan. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Comverse Technology Inc. (Nasdaq: CMVT), of Woodbury, New York, will become a component of the Nasdaq- 100 Index(R), effective at the beginning of trading Wednesday, January 13, 1999. Comverse Technology will replace HBO & Company (Nasdaq: HBOC), which is being acquired by McKesson Corp.
