What you are suggesting makes no sense.

Would you allow businesses to at least deduct the cost of goods sold? Or do you mean to impose essentially a national sales tax?

If that isn't what you meant, then how do you decide the cost of goods sold? Do you allow a deduction if another company is paid to build the goods? What about the cost of employees? Only those employees/hours that participate directly in producing good? What about services?

Sounds impractical, and likely to produce huge and undesirable shifts in how/where money is spent.
