In reply to your thoughts on this #597 message, I will refer to your reply in your #591 message... You said: This is different than W. Bush's wording that we were initially talking about, that is, nuking of Iraq even if Saddam used WMDs on the US soldiers invading his country. Guess we will have to cross this bridge if it happens. If Saddam uses any WMD's on US soldiers, I would think that those WMD's would also maim/kill Iraqi citizens as well. You said: I am not debating how appropriate it is for the US to retaliate with nukes if Iraq nukes the US. That will never happen anyway. This is what I thought you meant when I said: yes. If Iraq/Saddam is really stupid enough to nuke OR use ANY other WMD in the US or ANY US property, my answer still is: yes. Why do you think it will never happen? Most Americans thought 9-11 would not happen either.
