Dan, Sharon isn't the only one that doesn't understand how Nasdaq works. The way I understand it is the market maker is both buyer and seller, so when someone sells 100 shares the mm buys them and that is recorded as a 100 share transaction. Then when the mm sells the shares to another investor that is recorded as another 100 share transaction. Thus the volume shows up as 200 shares traded, right? Also, can you explain exactly how the mms make money on the transactions? Thanks. Stan
