Action Tech Suit against Novell This appears to be a software patent lawsuit. There was a movement in the legal profession to get software patented as opposed to treating it under copyright laws. I'm not aware of any successful software patent suits. The summary judgement motion merely defined the issues for trial, those aspects of Action's patent to be tried. The preliminary injunction motion would be for an order to Novell to stop them from selling Groupwise. I don't see how they could get it, after all this is patent not copyright law. Sounds to me like this is just some very aggressive litigation.
