I really don't like to short, especially quality stocks because of the limited downside potential, compared to the upside potential of msft & dell, which is unlimited. I do trade stocks such as msft several times a year and make good money, but from experience with msft I would have made more money simply buying & holding, it tends to go up in 30 point burst & if you are caught out of the stock at that time, you miss the big move. Short term, stocks do move with these press releases. MSFT is the only stock I have ever owned that when I go to sleep at night, I don't have to worry about it because I can hold it until I do have a profit. I actually keep some msft at all times now, but I do buy more for a short term score, like when it is down 20% from the yearly high. Jim - Dallas
