Hugh , I have read that they are implanting huge excesses of oxygen in the substrate which causes it to become an insulator. In the past this has caused great stresses but IBM has solved this problem. This was from a low tech report on ZDNN chkpt.zdnet.com So no diamond films, too bad, their day will come. Bill
