A funny thing happened last night, on the way to my gal's funding forum, at Indiegogo, for her Fabulous Ice Age movie.
Yes, at my urging she abandoned the dream or going through Kickstarter cause there, if the funding goal fails, all fails. On the other hand, Indiegogo takes a bigger chunk of the action but the rest goes to those who try, no matter what - unlike at Kickstarter - where if the target goal fail, all fails.
We made a test video, with my Nokia 808 PureView and her Canon 5D Mark II, for the campaign.
Gal fell over when she saw the comparison.
So did I: negligible difference, image and sound wise.
Getting very interesting out there, in the recording of reality world, when a phone nearly matches a top notch DSLR, and in may ways - like size, usability, multiple utility - beats it! |
