Let me play devils advocate here a minute. Suppose I say, this is all payback for Kerry's 1971 testimony. The actual record was a mixed bag, not near as black as the swiftvets now paint it. Memories have been warped by time and anger, and anyway eyewitness accounts will always differ markedly. If they weren't so mad at Kerry, the swiftvets would have honestly remembered a far less unflattering account of him.
