Was the food good?

Yes. Very good.

I ate at Wendy's. They were all over Cambodia and Laos in 68 and 69. Some were riverfront (I liked watching all the swiftboats go by), others were on mountains with a great view of the Ho Chi Minh trail.
The freeze dried rice was quite tasty. I recommend it.
