Thanks to all that replied on my question. The answer seems to be - its a feature!!

Thats ok, I can see where most people that go to a URL want the focus to be returned to that browser.

I only recently noticed it as a problem because I have a 21" monitor and I like a small quote window in the right corner. I'll put a quote in there, go back to SI to type, and when the quote returns, bam, I'm over at the quote box. I could have a lot worse problems, thats for sure!
