Actually, I understand why commodity futures exist. I posted the Stossel link because I thought he did a great job of conveying it for people who clearly do not.

Your homework is to explain WTF that has to do with anything. Silver is a highly volatile, speculative market and one should EXPECT these kinds of variations, particularly after an insane runup like it had experienced.

Get back to the point. The ability for businesses to secure futures pricing is essential to our economy. This dolt Al actually suggested we do away with it. An absurdly ignorant suggestion.

And here you are, trying to support that ridiculousness.
