I feel sad for America Hi kumar....I feel this way too sometimes, but for different reasons yet. I know your cabbie meant well, but I wonder how he would feel if his country was hit with 4 large bombs as we were on 9-11...finally figured out that they were in the cross hairs of people they thought were "just criminals" and had believed that for many years.

Then wonder how he would feel if he and his country continued to hear from the perps that they wanted all Jews, Christians and Americans dead....(Note the first two didn't say just Jews and Christians in America...AQ meant EVERYWHERE these folks are found.)

Then, how would he feel if he realized his country was the ONLY country of any substantial size that could go after these killers, no matter where they were in the world. And that other countries depended on his country to do this for them....because they were either too lazy to gather their own protection, or too poor in material wealth of their country...or whatever the reason.

American's feel sad too. For all sorts of reasons. BUT then again, Americans by and large, are optimistic....After all, look at what we've accomplished in the little over 228 years since we declared our freedom from Great Britain.

There are many many countries in the world who have their people in abject poverty, no food, and that have been a country for thousands of years.

There is NO other country on earth that has been so generous to so many people on earth than the American.

Glad you are able to fly the American flag there! And hope all is well with you!
