no. think of sun micro revenue opportunity as a bathtub almost full of nice and hot water. Now imagine that the drain is wide open and the faucet is turned on. The water going out the drain represents big ole SPARC systems, the kind nobody wants anymore. The water flowing into the tub is the small intel and amd systems that people do want to buy. The problem for sun micro is the tub is draining faster than it is filling. This is true for some obvious reasons. first, the SPARC systems are more expensive, and much higher margin. They represent the BULK of the "water" in the tub. The new systems that people want are cheap commodity systems. Sun micro will sell a bunch, but they need to sell a bunch. But the revenue coming in is but a fraction of the revenue that leaves. The water flowing in to the tub is not enough to replace the water that is escaping. NOw if you'll excuse me, I must start the bath. ;-)
