Unlike HP and IBM, Sun has an operating system and complete software suite it is optimising for the Opteron. That's more important and interesting than it sounds. Assuming Sun management has their margin numbers properly crunched, this could result in some products with price/performance that makes the industry sit up and take notice. (NB I'm talking about the Unix aspects, not Windows). --QS
