The interesting thing about RX (and I am more afraid of crack cocaine than pure..and Ecstasy which is prolific among college age students.)... is that there are famous people who were addicts but with their supply of whatever they were addicted to was supplied for them they were able to live productive lives and contribute toward society. Switzerland was legalizing drugs and there was a study but that was years ago and it never had been reproduced so I have no facts about success or failure. It just seems that when anything is illegal then organized crime steps in and we have worse problems.

It's the having to search, be illegal in activities...steal and do the other crimes that makes drugs the evil they are.

It's ironic to me. The legalization of alcohol.. My experience is that a person is more likely to violent being drunk than with a drug where chill out. You have to remember my experience comes only from the late seventies and eighties when I worked as a RX counselor at North Shore Medical Center.

Even then Methadone which was doled out to the addicts was not effecting a cure but maintenance. AND the worst RX for people were the amphetamines an barbiturates. They could cause death if when going cold... withdrawing was not supervised.

My advice. Don't start. Heroin is so addictive that it only has to be tired a few times to take over the bodies need for it. This is from the mouths of the addicts with whom I worked.

Marajuana... I agree with you. However, some have purported that it leads to other drugs.. This has to still be proven to me.
But I don't profess to have THEE answers. Only discussing.
