AJ, TA is as legitimate an analysis tool as any other. FA is often
based on forward looking projections which are mostly someone's opin-
ion of future prospects. These are often WRONG because they're based
on info from past quarters and projected using wishful scenarios!
TA, however, reflects the overall influences of the market, as of
TODAY, indicated in the price & vol with math interpretations derived
from these and other daily information. Statistics can be manipulated
to support almost any position. But simple analysis leaves little
room for gross misinfo.
I generally try to use TA to spot prospects and FA to provide sup-
porting info about the viability of a company. In each case I try to
keep it simple. No one knows the future events that will influence
the markets, although a few big players can move specific stocks from
time to time. Let's hope Soros and institutions pick up on IDTI!-)
